today

we had story time at our house this morning.  And Leah woke up at 5:00.  And even though at 1:00 am I decided I needed sleep more than yoga this morning, when I was still awake at 6:00 I decided I might as well go.  So i snuck out of bed trying not to wake up Leah and I whispered in Brandon's ear that I was leaving and she was in bed next to him.  But he was kinda sleepy and out of it and went to put his arm above his head and wacked me with his elbow good and hard in the face.  OUCH.  Then we had a sub for a teacher and not to be rude but - she bugged me.  then i got home and had to make 24 muffins with cream cheese frosting, plan story time and since I was so ticked I put that much effort into going to the gym and didn't even sweat, I tried to do a workout DVD holding Leah too.  Anyway - this sounds pretty whiny - but really it's been a good day I'm just kinda tired - soooooo - now that all our friends have gone home and the 4 friends that stuck around after story time have left and lunch is done and Leah is asleep I was beyond happy to sit down for a minute and space out in front of the computer.  But Grady and his friend were leaving and didn't want Graham to come with them.  Graham cried so hard he couldn't breath.  Then Clara saw him and came to the rescue and she and her little friend invited him to come with them back to her friends house.  And in the reflection of my computer screen I saw two little girls holding hands with Graham in the middle, skipping down the trail.  And my eyes got  all stingy and I felt so grateful for Clara I cried.  I love her.     And about an hour ago me and B cuddled for a minute and laughed really hard about being whopped in the nose. Whata day.......
